Terms, Refunds & Privacy

1. The game

Crumb Empire is a free-to-play browser game with optional purchases. By playing or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

2. Virtual items

• Gems, bundles, VIP, passes and all other in-game items are virtual items. You get a limited license to use them in the game. They have no real-world cash value and can't be exchanged, transferred or cashed out.
• The Cookie Pass premium track only applies to the season it was bought in. Seasons last 28 days.
• We may change game balance, prices and items over time.

3. Accounts & save data

• You can play as a guest. Guest progress is stored only in your browser. Clearing browser data, private/incognito mode or switching devices can erase it.
• With a free account, your progress and purchases are saved to your account and available on any device. You must be 13 or older to create an account.
• Purchases require an account so they can be restored if you lose your device or clear your browser.
• Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account anytime in your profile (Edit profile → Delete my account). This permanently removes your save, profile, messages and purchase records.

4. Chat & community rules

Chat is public. Everyone who visits can read it. Signed-in players can post if they follow these rules:

• Be kind. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats or encouraging self-harm.
• No sexual or graphic content.
• No spam, advertising, links, scams or trading/selling accounts or items.
• Don't share personal information: yours or anyone else's (addresses, phone numbers, social handles, passwords).
• Don't impersonate staff or other players.

Messages are filtered automatically, and anything reported by several players is hidden. Moderators may remove messages, mute or ban accounts that break these rules, without notice. Being banned from chat doesn't remove items you bought. Use the ⚑ button on a message to report it.

5. Refunds

Virtual items are delivered instantly, so all purchases are final. If you were charged but didn't get your item, or were charged by mistake, contact us within 14 days with your payment receipt and we'll make it right (re-deliver the item or refund you). This doesn't affect any rights you have under your local consumer laws.

6. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

7. Privacy

• What we store: for accounts, your email address, username, profile choices (avatar, name color, trophy showcase), game progress, public game stats, chat messages you post, reports you send and a record of purchases. Guests' progress stays in their own browser.
• What's public: your username, avatar, profile stats, trophies and chat messages. Your email is never shown to other players.
• Service providers: accounts and data are hosted by Supabase. Account emails are sent through Resend. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we receive receipt details (such as amount and date) from Stripe.
• We don't use ads, sell your data or use tracking cookies. The game uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and save your progress.
• Visit counting: to see which of our posts bring players in, the game records each visit with the site or link it came from (for example "reddit"), the device type (phone or desktop) and a random ID kept in your browser. When you create an account, we note where you first came from. We don't record IP addresses or anything that identifies you, and none of it is shared. Browsers set to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control are never counted.
• You can delete your account and data at any time from your profile, or contact us.

8. Age

You must be 13 or older to create an account or use chat. If you're under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent or guardian's permission to make purchases.
